As the title suggests, the book is a memoir about one of the earlier Arab feminists, Anbara Salam. The book was originally written by Anbara in 1978. Her son would later translate it to English and publish it in 2013. As far as memoirs go, Anbara's was rather a historical recounting of the times she has witnessed.
